Prevent unwanted bathroom odour with eucalyptus oil

Posted by UrbanGreenGirl

eucalytpus They’re in everyone’s bathroom, those toxic, aerosol, air fresheners for after washroom use. We know they can cause respiratory problems, and the residue can also be harmful to  small children and pets who crawl on the floor.  To top that off, not only are these air fresheners not environmentally friendly, but their containers cannot be recycled which means more waste for the landfill. Thus, I have a great solution that is not only environmentally friendly and cost effective, but really prevents that “hide your head in your shirt because it smells so bad”, odour. Just drop a few drops of eucalyptus oil in the toilet before use and voilà, bye-bye stinky odour. The bathroom will be left smelling like a fresh rainforest of eucalyptus trees instead of that awful fake rose air freshener smell that reminds you of your grandma’s washroom! You can find eucalyptus oil in any place that sells aromatherapy oils, candle shops, pharmacies or health food stores.  Once finished, the eucalytpus bottle can also be recycled because they’re usually made of glass.

  1. Since our office commode is in a highly visible (and smellable) area, I’d suggest we make a product such as this mandatory for each bathroom use.

    Especially on Burrito Tuesday.
