Delicious eco lip balms and glosses that are actually good for you

All natural lip glosses in colours you desire like Ruby red and Pearl
Do you feel guilty buying make-up because you feel the act is not “green”? Or worse, you’re worried about the chemical ingredients?
Well, I just found the greatest discovery this past week-end while visiting a new health food store; a line of completely eco lip balms and glosses by Kiss my Face. They’re 100% natural and 91% organic. It’s part of their shimmers & shines collection.
Along with the trend of mineral make-up, they created these products with natural minerals for the colours and instead of using petroleum for the base, they’re made with natural oils like shea butter, castor, peppermint, and french vanilla flavoured oil.
I’m a stickler when it comes to ingredients yet there’s not one ingredient in there that I would say is bad and instead of using chemical preservatives, they uses vitamin E.

Alba Pineapple Quench lip balm for intense nourishment
If you’re looking for intense moisture recovery for your lips, I would recommend the Pineapple Quench lip balm by Alba Botanicals. It is totally nourishing and tastes great, not that I eat it of course. I also use their Hawaiian hair wash and conditioner and although it smells delectable, I find it’s too rich for my hair as it feels a little oily afterwards.
Have any eco favourites that you’d like to share?
This is a great post.. Very informative… I can see that you put a lot of hard work on your every post that’s why I think I’d come here more often. Keep it up! By the way, you can also drop by my blogs. They’re about Vegetable Gardening and Composting. I’m sure you’d find my blogs helpful too.

Thanks for the tip! Boo… there are no store locations in Toronto, and I don’t feel comfortable buying make-up online. Hmmz…

My fav of the moment is Suncoat’s lip glosses. http://suncoat.ca/indexproducts.htm I have 2
No stickiness like other chemical-based glosses. 100% natural, if not vegan (I think) AND made in Canada!
(also check out their award-winning all natural water based nail polish too)

I’ve been using the alba pineapple quench lip balm for awhile now! It’s great and it doesn’t cause your lips to “crave” chapstick like the medicated ones do. I also use Alba cocoa butter hand lotion.

I’ve actually heard of this company and seen their nail polish. How is it, have you tried it out?

No I haven’t tried it yet. I’m not a big nail polish wearer but I really want to try Suncoat’s nail polish french manicure set and get the nail polish remover too. Would kinda be pointless to get their 100% natural, eco friendly nail polish and then use 100% chemicals to remove it later
The Tau near my home (in Laval) carries most of their collection. I’ll let you know how it goes!
